The Oklahoma Tax Commission encourages all taxpayers to file their taxes electronically. Over the last 15 years, electronic filing, or “e-filing”, has changed the way that Oklahoma taxpayers file, and receive their refunds. Taxpayers who e-file:
- File returns with a reduced error rate vs those who file the traditional paper method
- Receive refunds in a fraction of the time vs those who file the traditional paper method (even faster with direct deposit)
- Know when their return has been accepted by Oklahoma.
And this year, more people are eligible to e-file than ever before. Residents, non-residents and part-year residents can all e-file—and some may qualify for Free File.
Remember that it’s your money and if you’re due a refund get your money back fast by filing electronically! Filing electronically not only saves you time, but helps the state keep processing costs down, which in turn saves you even more money.
