If I cannot pay the amount due, what should I do?

When you file your return, pay what you can with the return. You will receive a bill for the remaining tax, penalty and interest. The bill will offer a minimum payment amount. By making at least this minimum payment amount, you will receive 5 additional bills, one every 45 days, offering you the minimum payment due. If you resolve your income tax account within this billing process, no other contact with the Oklahoma Tax Commission is necessary.

If you cannot make the minimum payment or if you would like to make other arrangements, please contact our Compliance Division. Their telephone number and their address will be on the bill(s) you receive.

There will be a one-time delinquent penalty of 5% and interest accruing at 1.25% per month on any tax not paid by the original due date.
