MV: Registration Renewal Notifications

In most instances, a registration renewal reminder notice is sent to the owner and address on the Motor Vehicle system prior to a vehicle's registration expiration. There are several options now available for renewal notification including email notification. Not only can you receive your notification electronically, you now have the option to renew your tag online through the Oklahoma Tax Commission's CARS online application.

In regards to registration renewal notifications, please note the following:

These notices are sent as a courtesy reminder only and are not needed to renew a vehicle's registration.

Please note, by Oklahoma Statute, failure to receive a registration renewal reminder notice does not relieve a vehicle owner from the responsibility of timely renewing a vehicle's registration. Late registration renewal will result in the assessment of delinquent registration penalties.
