January 4, 2012Changes to CNG Filings
Effective January 1, 2012, in accordance with HB 1815, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) will be taxed at five cents ($.05) per gasoline equivalent (gge).
The tax shall be collected upon the first sale of compressed natural gas by a wholesaler to a retailer or end-user and the tax is imposed upon, and shall be the liability of any such wholesaler to remit the same to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
Vehicles powered with CNG will no longer require a flat fee decal.
