Up to the Minute...Press Release Free Income Tax Assistance Available Across the State Oklahoma taxpayers who want assistance with preparation and filing of their income tax forms have free help available in many locations across the state. The VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) and TCE (Tax Counseling for the Elderly) programs have opened their sites this week to provide income tax assistance to taxpayers who qualify. Specially trained community volunteers can help taxpayers with their Federal and Oklahoma returns at more than 125 locations across the state. Most of the locations also offer free electronic filing of the taxpayer return. Taxpayers will need to bring the following items to the VITA/TCE site:
