Up to the Minute...Notice New Sales Tax Permit Registrants Required Oklahoma businesses that register for a sales tax permit after June 1, 2007 are required to file sales tax reports and payments electronically. This change is a result of OTC Rule 710:65-3-1. The Oklahoma Tax Commission’s QuickTax system is available online and by phone and offers business electronic tax filing and remittance processing options. Permit holders who file electronically retain the full 2.25% discount for timely filing. Registrants have the option to apply for exemption to the electronic filing requirement. The steps for applying for such exemption are available in the Oklahoma Business Registration Packet. This packet is available on the Oklahoma Tax Commission website at www.tax.ok.gov.
