Agency Releases 2-D Barcode Filing Option for Corporate Income Tax Filers

In an ongoing effort to provide faster filing options to Oklahoma taxpayers, the Oklahoma Tax Commission has released a new option for corporate income tax filers. Released today, Oklahoma corporations have the option to file their corporate income tax return, Form 512, on a 2-D barcoded calculating form. This form has been enhanced to calculate some fields mathematically and will create a 2-D barcode when printed.

The barcode is created as the fill-in fields of the form are completed. It contains all the information required to process your return. This allows the Oklahoma Tax Commission to scan the barcode and eliminates the need for manual data entry.

While this is the first year for the 2-D Form 512, the two primary individual income tax forms, Forms 511 and 511NR, have been available in this new format for two filing seasons.
