Reminder: Boat and Motor Registrations Expire on June 30th

Taxpayers should be aware that all Oklahoma boat and outboard motor registrations expire on June 30.

Boat and motor owners should have already received their renewal reminder cards in the mail earlier this month. However, please note, the reminders are not required to renew the registration. Registrations may be renewed at any Oklahoma tag agency or by mailing the renewal to the Oklahoma Tax Commission, PO Box 26940, Oklahoma City, OK 73126-0940. To stay current , boat and motor owners have until June 30, 2006 to renew their registrations. A delinquent registration penalty of $0.25 per day will apply as of August 1.

Owners have the option of renewing their registrations for a one or three year period. The three year registration fee is equal to 90% of the total of the individual year’s fees. It should be noted there is no registration fee refund or credit issued if a boat/motor changes ownership, is taken out of state or is destroyed.
