Up to the Minute..Press Release "E-File and More" Seminar Offered by the Oklahoma Tax Commission The Oklahoma Tax Commission has announced the presentation of free electronic filing seminars for tax professionals in three cities this fall. These seminars are in replacement of the E-File seminars once provided by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Joining representatives from the OTC will be experts from the IRS and Social Security Administration.The seminars are geared toward educating tax preparers about the electronic services available to them and their clients. The number of electronic options available is increasing every year, helping reduce the burden on accountants and taxpayers and improve the timeliness and accuracy of returns. E-filing is the new standard for tax filing speed, accuracy, and security. More than 900,000 Oklahoma income tax returns were e-filed during the last income tax filing season. E-filing is one of the most popular innovations ever introduced for tax return preparation and has been praised by both taxpayers and professional return preparers for its ability to make filing taxes easier.
