CARS Update & Remind Me Feature

Over 30,000 Oklahomans have enjoyed the convenience of renewing their vehicle registration tag online since Oklahoma’s official Convenient Auto Renewal System (CARS) launched in February, 2010.

The service, located at http://Cars.OK.gov, also gives Oklahomans an opportunity to sign up for online email reminder notices for their tag renewal month through the REMIND ME feature located on the homepage. Email reminders are sent the first day of the expiration month entered into the REMIND ME feature.

“When taxpayers find that they can renew their vehicle tags online they are always excited,” said Paula Ross, Oklahoma Tax Commission spokesperson.  “Many have had great comments on the around the clock access and ease of use of the system.”

Online renewal of vehicle registration tags is available 24/7 every day of the year.
